Shattered Slabs

Definition:

A slab that is cracked in multiple locations such that the slab is separated into 3 or more pieces is termed a Shattered Slab. Slabs noted as shattered slabs should not be also noted as transverse, longitudinal or corner break. Figure 1 shows an example of corner break.

How to measure:

There are no severity levels for Shattered Slab. If the slab is cracked into 3 or more pieces, it should be considered for replacement.
