District Two
District Two is comprised of 28 counties in East Central Georgia. Four of our counties are included in the group of ten largest counties in the state. These four counties are: Burke, Laurens, Emanuel and Washington which are the second, fourth, seventh and ninth largest counties.

District Rest Area Returns Lost Toy
Georgia DOT Highway Maintenance Management Clerk Gina Sheppard received a call from Jason Woodfin asking if we could locate a stuffed animal named "Doggie" his son left at the I-20 Morgan County Rest Area. The little boy had grown attached to the stuffed animal since he was a baby. GDOT staff contacted the janitorial workers at the rest area and the lost dog was found. Georgia DOT returned "Doggie", which was reunited with an excited little boy.
